Best UX Design Agencies in London (2026)
13 London UX design agencies doing strong product work in 2026, from Shoreditch studios to public sector specialists and network digital teams
Log in

Introduction
London’s UX and product design agencies range from employee-owned studios around Shoreditch to public sector specialists and the digital teams of global networks. The 13 agencies below were chosen for recent product work, the strength of their client rosters and evidence of research-led practice.
Much of the change over the past year has come from AI. ustwo appointed a Google DeepMind executive as its first AI non-executive director in July 2026, Studio Graphene now describes itself as AI-native, and Elsewhen has repositioned from product design towards AI consultancy. Some familiar names have changed shape too: Hugo & Cat’s website now redirects to MRM, Wilson Fletcher has become Futurestate Design Co., and Lighthouse continues as Digital Product People. On the public sector side, TPXimpact reported in April 2026 that its three-year turnaround was complete.
Every agency here has an active London office in 2026. The list runs in no fixed order of merit, since the right choice depends on your product, your users and how closely you want to work with the team.

What to look for in a London UX design agency
Start with how the agency is owned and staffed. London has employee-owned studios such as ustwo and dxw, founder-owned shops such as Normally and Red Badger, and teams inside larger groups such as Zensar, CACI and WPP. Smaller independents usually give more senior attention, while group-owned agencies can bring engineering scale, security accreditations and procurement routes that large organisations need.
Ask to see research, not only screens. A good UX agency should show how it recruited participants, what it tested and what changed as a result. If your service is public-facing, check its accessibility record against WCAG and, for public bodies, the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018. Agencies with long public sector rosters, such as dxw, TPXimpact and CACI Digital Experience, will be used to assessments and audits.
Be specific about AI. Many London studios repositioned around AI in 2025 and 2026, and the useful question is what they have shipped and how they tested it with users. Ask for a live product you can try, and ask who owns the models, data and prompts once the engagement ends.
Finally, agree how the work will be handed over. A UX project produces design files, prototypes, interview recordings, research reports and a long tail of feedback. If these live across email, shared drives and separate tools, insights get lost and decisions are hard to trace. Ask where research will be stored, how stakeholders will review designs and how approvals will be recorded.
How Fabric helps UX design teams
Fabric gives a product or UX team one workspace for its research, design files and client feedback, with AI search across all of it. The setup for UI and UX agencies suits studios running several client products at once, with one space per client for briefs, research, prototypes and decisions.
User research is easier to reuse when it can be searched. Fabric’s audio and video transcription turns uploaded interview and usability test recordings into searchable text with clickable timestamps, and search works by meaning across documents, PDFs, images and those transcripts, as well as connected apps such as Google Drive and Notion. A designer looking for what users said about onboarding can jump straight to the moment in the recording.
For synthesis and early design, Canvas is an infinite whiteboard that can embed Figma files alongside research notes, screenshots and video. Teams use it for journey maps, affinity boards and design reviews, and can export the result as SVG or PNG.
For stakeholder review, clients can leave threaded comments through a shared link without creating an account, and annotations cover highlights and comments on PDFs and documents, with comments on video and images coming soon. Research reports and prototypes can be published as a web page, protected with a password, and tracked with link analytics. There is more on choosing review tools in the best design feedback tools.
On Team plans, self-writing docs maintain a page for each client from meetings, Slack and the workspace, covering decisions, deliverables and open items. Password protection and link analytics are included on Pro and Team plans, and self-writing docs on Team plans. See plans for teams.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best UX design agency in London?
There is no single answer, as the right agency depends on the product and its users. ustwo and Made by Many are long-established product studios with strong consumer and enterprise rosters, while dxw and TPXimpact lead on public services and Digital Product People specialises in complex B2B software.
Which London UX agencies work with the public sector?
dxw works with NHS England, the Cabinet Office and the Ministry of Justice. TPXimpact works with the Department for Education and several London councils, CACI Digital Experience has worked with the Bank of England and National Highways, and Browser London counts the Mayor of London and the NHS as clients.
What happened to Hugo & Cat?
Hugo & Cat’s website now redirects to MRM, so it no longer appears as a separate agency and is not included in this list.
What is the difference between a UX agency and a design agency?
A UX agency focuses on digital products and services: research, interaction design, prototyping and often the build. A design agency usually works more broadly across identity, print, packaging and environments. For multidisciplinary studios, see the best design agencies in London.
Are any London UX agencies employee-owned?
Yes. ustwo is an employee-owned B Corp, and dxw is also employee-owned. dxw says its ownership model shapes its commitment to work for the public good.
